1. Assessing Your Needs |
The first step is to meet with you
at your house to discuss your needs & your desires
for your home. What do you love and what do you hate
in your existing space? How do you use your bathroom
or kitchen? What is the traffic flow of the rooms? These
and other questions become part of our conversation.
We will also take rough measurements, digital photos
and create a rough layout for the room(s). This meeting
usually takes about an hour and we will provide you
with a rough estimate of the cost, timing and project
duration, based on the concept.
|
2. Creating a Detailed Floor Plan & Elevations |
If you like what you hear in step
one, the next step is to design a detailed floor plan
of the project. There is a design fee at this point.
The fee is based on the room(s) being designed and is
between $1,000 - $1,500 per room. Along with this floor
plan, you will also receive an elevation view and layout
of your kitchen and a detailed Job Estimate. (View
Link for the elevation and perspective view on the kitchen
shown to a customer).
|
3. Agreements & Timing |
After reviewing your Elevations,
Room layout and Job Estimate and upon deciding to contract
our company to work for you, we will then write up the
necessary contracts. These include the Proposal, Certificate
of Capital Improvement and the Cancellation Notice,
all of which you will need to sign. If anything needs
to be changed from these contracts an AWA (Additional
Work Authorization) will be signed by you before we
can change the plan.

4. Finalizing Selections and Ordering Cabinets |
The next step is to finalize your
selections. There are many decisions that need to be
made and we can walk you through the process with our
in-house designer to help make the best choices. Once
the selections are finalized, we order your cabinets.
After ordering, the cabinets typically take 8-12 weeks
to be delivered. All of our cabinets are custom made
and the cabinet order is confirmed twice before the
cabinets are created to make sure they meet all the
necessary specifications. (View

|
5. Details, Details, Details
|
In
the time the cabinets are being produced, all of the
other details are taken care of. Purchase Orders are
placed for everything that will be used in your kitchen.
These can include everything from countertops and tiles
to sheetrock and lumber. This preparation time is critical
so that when the cabinets arrive, everything is ready
so that we can get right to work.
|
6. Construction and Installation |
The
final step is installation of the cabinets. Depending
upon the amount and degree of construction needed, this
will typically take four to eight weeks. After that,
you can begin using your new and improved kitchen or
bath.
